in home "care"?

To mention again what low quality is actually offered to the elderly in the USA....

I was just looking through the folders which my parents received when they started paying (through Medicare----but it is still something they earned) for this help.

First of all, the photocopied documents are barely legible ---Evidently someone was saving money and made copies even though the ink should have been changed. Some, in fact, are not legible.

Moreover, the "case worker" or head nurse in charge has changed. I do not think we even have a document with her full name......

This blog definitely may contain controversial opinions,--i.e. opinions not universally shared-- and it may even express emotions! I would say it contains "emotional elements" mimicking the idiot language of movie producers, but frankly I cannot see the point of the noun, unless it be to emphasize the pejorative sounding "emotional"...(Pejorative if you know nothing about the emotions!)

But there is no nudity whatsoever except for allusions to naked greed and naked ignorance.

Neither is there violence here, as that term is commonly understood, however, the structural violence of common institutional and social arrangements is often under discussion.

A Note About Style

Sometimes when I blog I depart from the customary conventions of written English. For example, there are times when I get rid of capital letters. I hope that no one is overly disturbed by this. it allows me to say things in a slightly different way....Probably I do it because once upon a time when I actually had friends and some sort of social contacts, I often sent them text messages sans caps; probably the cap-less style reminds me of those happier times.....times before my de facto (but surely not totally actual) solitary confinement...

The TONE of this blog? No, I don't engage in the rhetorical fantasy of saying things "objectively", but I actually do attempt to say what's true....
