puritanism makes us believe in the filthy god of work, confuses us about the meaning of our activities and distorts our ability to enjoy, to share pleasure.....
militarism means death, brutal, heartless and cruel, and it means a big fat lie about this truth: that our leaders and generals don't care whether we die or whether a stranger dies, so long as they retain their power....
