As if ordinary people were lesser.....
It's ugly.
but, so long as a theater director, e.g., thinks that way I predict: he or she will never
produce any art worthy of the name.
You cannot ignore the ordinary experiences of people with less leisure than you have....
And then there is the juvenile delight in shocking, or trying to shock, to somehow attempt
to express contempt for the way ordinary people think......
That's been done before, but even in the past it had a deeper basis than what I see around me....
