cut the crap

I am sick of the bullshit!

bullshit I heard today:

1. Oh, you are caring for your elderly parents. You are an angel.

2. Oh, elderly people deserve more help. They have earned it!

1. I am not an angel. I am getting screwed. I do not have a space of my own. I live with my eighty-something parents and have no personal life. My future will be worse on account

of what I am doing now. I sleep in a room filled with clothes that no one wears, and typewriters and sewing machines that no one uses. There is no room for my belongings. And that's just a small example of how constrained and uncomfortable my daily life is.

2. No one in this world gets what they deserve. No one. I do not deserve to have my life interrupted. My parents deserve more help than I can give them. Bill Gates doesn't deserve what he has and most people deserve more than they have. Please, just cut the crap!

This blog definitely may contain controversial opinions,--i.e. opinions not universally shared-- and it may even express emotions! I would say it contains "emotional elements" mimicking the idiot language of movie producers, but frankly I cannot see the point of the noun, unless it be to emphasize the pejorative sounding "emotional"...(Pejorative if you know nothing about the emotions!)

But there is no nudity whatsoever except for allusions to naked greed and naked ignorance.

Neither is there violence here, as that term is commonly understood, however, the structural violence of common institutional and social arrangements is often under discussion.

A Note About Style

Sometimes when I blog I depart from the customary conventions of written English. For example, there are times when I get rid of capital letters. I hope that no one is overly disturbed by this. it allows me to say things in a slightly different way....Probably I do it because once upon a time when I actually had friends and some sort of social contacts, I often sent them text messages sans caps; probably the cap-less style reminds me of those happier times.....times before my de facto (but surely not totally actual) solitary confinement...

The TONE of this blog? No, I don't engage in the rhetorical fantasy of saying things "objectively", but I actually do attempt to say what's true....
