how embarrassing

I've just discovered that Michael Dawson has a detailed commentary on the official proclamation coming out of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement. I haven't finished reading it, but offhand, what I've read seems spot on.

As I was simply so glad to hear some public criticism, I didn't think too much about what they were saying--although I have, in the past (On this very blog) expressed the reservation that what's needed is not merely reform.....

Dawson is much more specific.

This blog definitely may contain controversial opinions,--i.e. opinions not universally shared-- and it may even express emotions! I would say it contains "emotional elements" mimicking the idiot language of movie producers, but frankly I cannot see the point of the noun, unless it be to emphasize the pejorative sounding "emotional"...(Pejorative if you know nothing about the emotions!)

But there is no nudity whatsoever except for allusions to naked greed and naked ignorance.

Neither is there violence here, as that term is commonly understood, however, the structural violence of common institutional and social arrangements is often under discussion.

A Note About Style

Sometimes when I blog I depart from the customary conventions of written English. For example, there are times when I get rid of capital letters. I hope that no one is overly disturbed by this. it allows me to say things in a slightly different way....Probably I do it because once upon a time when I actually had friends and some sort of social contacts, I often sent them text messages sans caps; probably the cap-less style reminds me of those happier times.....times before my de facto (but surely not totally actual) solitary confinement...

The TONE of this blog? No, I don't engage in the rhetorical fantasy of saying things "objectively", but I actually do attempt to say what's true....
