....This blog was formerly titled "A Yankee Gringo in Mean Wien"--more elegant than the current title, I know....but living in Wien was a hell of a lot nicer than living in El Paso. ..a nicer title because Wien was a nicer place... and if you want to see what shit El Paso's bus system really is, check out the link (below) to the Bratislava Public Transit System--third rate by European standards, but head over heels above the El Paso Bus System. ---EPTX-a desert outpost of a cruel empire....

For adult readers (where adulthood is not defined by any particular age; some old people are not adults---rather, adulthood or maturity is a matter of being willing to listen even when the speaker/writer does not pretend to know everything and may actually be engaged in an experimental public exploration of thoughts not known to be true with any certainty...)

This blog definitely may contain controversial opinions,--i.e. opinions not universally shared-- and it may even express emotions! I would say it contains "emotional elements" mimicking the idiot language of movie producers, but frankly I cannot see the point of the noun, unless it be to emphasize the pejorative sounding "emotional"...(Pejorative if you know nothing about the emotions!)

But there is no nudity whatsoever except for allusions to naked greed and naked ignorance.

Neither is there violence here, as that term is commonly understood, however, the structural violence of common institutional and social arrangements is often under discussion.

A Note About Style

Sometimes when I blog I depart from the customary conventions of written English. For example, there are times when I get rid of capital letters. I hope that no one is overly disturbed by this. it allows me to say things in a slightly different way....Probably I do it because once upon a time when I actually had friends and some sort of social contacts, I often sent them text messages sans caps; probably the cap-less style reminds me of those happier times.....times before my de facto (but surely not totally actual) solitary confinement...

The TONE of this blog? No, I don't engage in the rhetorical fantasy of saying things "objectively", but I actually do attempt to say what's true....
